Help Build a Home Filled with Hope

The Garrett family has faced unimaginable challenges this past year. Their daughter, 10-year-old Kimmie, contracted Influenza A, leading to severe medical complications that resulted in the loss of her limbs. Now, the family needs something many of us take for granted—a home that meets their everyday needs.

We’ve partnered with the community and Habitat for Humanity to make their new home possible! Join us for a fundraiser at the Jackson Culver’s Monday, July 21 from 4-8 p.m. and a portion of the proceeds will go to help them build their new home.

Fraud Reminder: Imposter Scams

Have you gotten a sketchy text claiming to be from the Michigan Department of Vehicles (that’s not even the real department name) or one claiming you didn't pay a toll (FYI: The government will never text you demanding payment)?

These are just a few examples of imposter scams going around. If you get an unexpected text claiming there’s a “problem” and you need to pay or share personal info ASAP — STOP! Review all text messages carefully, and never send payments or personal information through text links you weren’t expecting.
